As December 31st comes around, there is quite the anticipation of what comes next, a brand new year. A time to put away the Christmas decorations and start writing our new year resolutions. For the rest of the world, December 31st looks something like this but for believers in Christ, Christmas is not over yet, our tree and decorations are still intact and lighting up our homes. Our anticipation and waiting started back in November before Christmas began. When January 1st arrives we are not anticipating what is to come but are fully aware of of what to expect from the New Year. A celebration of God’s promise has been given to us as we receive this blessing.
“The Lord bless you and keep you!
The Lord let his face shine upon you and be gracious to you!
So shall they invoke my name upon the Israelites, and I will bless them.”
What better way to start a new year than to be blessed over, giving us reassurance that God will be with us, his face shines upon us, and give us peace. Knowing this, any plans we make or circumstances we experience, we are never alone in it. May God Bless you and Keep you! (Numbers 6:22)

Forgiven and healed, we are set free from the tyranny of self and offered peace and joy that only He can give.

Meditate
You are Blessed
Romans 6:22
But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.
A moving song that touches the heart and soul. This song by Kari Job, The Blessing, lifts our prayers higher to God because he has blessed us more than we realize. His presence is felt with every word that is sung. God’s presence is made known even in our despair and suffering and also in our joys and celebrations. An excerpt from Romans 6:22 reminds us that God’s spirit is in us.
Prayers
Christmas is never over for those who believe. May the light of Christ always be within us and around us. Let us keep our hearts always open because blessings, graces, mercies, and the will of God will be upon us. Be in anticipation and prayerful each day. May the Lord Bless You and Keep you!
To remember what we learned, we must always write it, share it and teach it to someone else, so it becomes concrete in us.
