Emotions are in peak states these days. All our futures are rearranged with the theme of “what’s next” replaying in our mind. It is hard to understand how tragedy and sufferings can happen to such innocent lives. For those affected with the recent tragedies or any personal tragedies and suffering, it is hard to hear the voice of the good God and His promise of a good life. The painful emotions overshadow our whole being, making us tremble in fear and disillusionment and asking the question, “what’s next”? At a time as this no word utter out of the mouth of our friends and families can console us. With only silence and the rapid beating of our aching heart is heard. It is during the darkness and silence God speaks to us. We can hear God by filtering out the noise of our own heartache, and hear a new silence, the silence of God’s language. He will speak to us through our open wounds in our heart, reassuring us that help comes from him and not ourselves. We first must be not afraid so we can receive his message. Once we are no longer in fear of the circumstance, we will be provided with a witness to testify to the resolution that will overcome the impossible, because with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).
Bridging the Gap: Speaking a universal language

Love, Hope, Faith, Interior Freedom
Revelation 2:10-11
Do not be afraid of anything that you are going to suffer. Indeed, the devil will throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will face an ordeal for ten days. Remain faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
As you listen to the words of this song, “”God is with us” Remember, silence is not always the enemy, it is our help, our hope, our love, and the strength for our interior freedom and prevents us from holding on to pain that will make us captive to our own fleeting emotions. It helps us walk through the desolation of the heartache and uncertainty; it helps us to be still while the muddy water clears up in our life so that we may make the right decisions. Darkness is not the void of light, but full of light that immense brightness causes a temporary darkness that blinds our sight signifying that God is nearby.
Prayers
May you be comforted knowing that you are not alone but God is always with you whether you feel his presence or not. His hand will always be holding yours and carrying you out of the valley of despair.
To remember what we learned, we must always write it, share it and teach it to someone else, so it becomes concrete in us.
Journal Tips:
Find a place where you can turn down the light and sit
quietly. Be immersed in the darkness and
prayfully rest in the presence of God.
Think about the different silence in your day, the concentrated silence of doing work, the silence in the time of planning your day, the silence when you come home exhausted and tired, the silence when waiting for your turn in line, the silence of waiting on a sign that you are loved. Think about the silence of the inspirational moments after reading scriptures or a good book and now turn your attention to the great silence of the Cross, the pain, suffering and challenges of your day. Write them down in the “Taking up your Cross” page. Unite your Cross with the Cross of Jesus. No pain is useless, God always repurpose your pain so the muddy waters can be cleared, and you can be cleansed. and restored . (Overture on Silence)
“The endurance of darkness is the preparation for great light.”
